Growing up in Poway and attending Poway High School, my passion for all things mechanical began at a young age. While other kids played with toys, I found myself disassembling my mom's vacuum or fixing my dad's water pic. At just 8 years old, I got my hands on my first go-kart and delighted in thrilling rides through my parents' backyard, much to the chagrin of babysitters.

My automotive journey took an interesting turn when, at the age of 11, I acquired my first car: a 1969 VW Beetle. Eager to restore it completely, I embarked on a journey that uncovered the challenges of the automotive industry. The car, already showing its age, revealed hidden issues and poorly patched parts. I discovered seatbelts secured by sheet metal screws and encountered hidden rust. The frustrating experience with replacement parts taught me that not all components are created equal.

During my high school years, auto shop class and weekend dirt bike rides in the desert consumed most of my time. Alongside a friend, I built a dune buggy using leftover parts from my failed VW restoration project. After graduating, I began my career at Firestone, working in maintenance and tire services. With determination and perseverance, I gradually climbed the ranks, exploring positions at various dealerships and independent shops.

I gained valuable experience in Audi and Chrysler/Dodge dealerships, as well as an import independent shop specializing in Toyota, Honda, and Subaru vehicles. Obtaining my master technician certification and smog license, I continuously pursued technical training to enhance my skills.

Throughout my journey, I witnessed unethical practices within the industry. Cars purchased from used car lots often concealed major mechanical issues, and dealerships sometimes hindered communication about warranty-covered problems. Overcharging and using subpar parts to boost profits were disappointingly common. Recognizing an opportunity for change, I aspired to challenge the status quo and redefine the automotive service experience.

In 2018, the opportunity arose for me to purchase Precision Automotive from its previous owner. The shop aligned perfectly with my values of transparency and possessed a strong customer base in the community where I grew up. Although managing a business required acquiring new skills, I am fortunate to have an exceptional team supporting me, making my job easier, and ensuring our clients receive the best care. We constantly evolve, seeking innovative ways to add value for our clients and staff.

As the owner of Precision Automotive, I am dedicated to providing a different kind of automotive service—one built on integrity, transparency, and exceptional customer experience. My journey has been an exciting one, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the industry and serve our valued clients and community.
